WARNING! If your iPhone 7 freezes, crashes, under performs or doesn’t work as intended, you might be able to fix these problems by master resetting the phone. This can result in the deletion of personal data stored on the internal memory, including apps, contacts, downloaded content, media files and ringtones etc. However, data located on the SIM card will not be affected.
NOTE: Before you master reset the iPhone 7, you can check this thread for instructions on how to back up data on the device.
Launch “Settings”
Go to “General”
Tap “Reset”
Select one of the following options:
Reset all settings
Erase all content and settings
Reset network settings (NOTE: by enabling this option all your Wi-Fi profiles will be deleted)
Reset keyboard dictionary
Reset home screen layout
Reset location & privacy
If necessary, enter your password to proceed
Soft Reset via Hardware Buttons:
NOTE: In case your iPhone is unresponsive or doesn’t work properly, you might be able to fix these issues by soft resetting the device. This will not affect any personal data located on the phone’s internal memory.
Press and hold the “sleep / wake” button
Press and hold “Home” at the same time
Keep both buttons pressed until the screen turns black
At the “Apple” logo, release all buttons and wait for the phone to reboot
